El Paso Mission Trail Association

The San Elizario Historic Sculpture Series Is an ongoing public art project in the National Historic District. The project is a series of twelve sculptures that are historically related to San Elizario. The project opened in April 2012, with unveiling of the 'Billy The Kid' sculpture. The 'Ox' sculpture was unveiled four months later. The third "Oñate -El Encuentro" was unveiled in April 2013. The project is set to be completed by 2017. The sculptures are life-sized. They are located throughout the Historic District. Locator guides are available at the visitor center and the galleries.
